Veneer Styx® and Inlay/Onlay Styx® were invented by Marc Lazare, D.D.S. who founded his company Cosmetic Innovations, Inc. in 2002. Veneer Styx is an implement used to position porcelain veneers during the cementation process. It was written up in Dental Products Report as one of the "Top New Techniques of 2004", and in Dentistry Today as one of the "Top 100 new products of 2005".

Dr. Lazare recently developed his second product called Inlay/Onlay Styx. Interchangeable with the Veneer Styx veneer positioning tips, it is ideal for seating inlays, onlays and posterior ceramic crowns during both try-in phase and final cementation. It was written up in Dental Products Report as one of the "Top New Products of 2005".
